 A: We aim to make the process as seamless as possible for you. Prior to our arrival, we recommend removing personal belongings, fragile items, and wall décor from the work area. If possible, clear surfaces such as countertops or shelves. We’ll take care of the rest—including moving large furniture, applying surface protection, and prepping each area with the care and precision your home deserves. 

 A: We generally prefer to supply all materials to ensure consistency and top-tier quality. However, if you have leftover paint from a previous project, we’re happy to assess its condition and suitability for use. While we’re not biased toward any particular brand, we strongly encourage using high-quality products from brands we trust to ensure the best results. Ultimately, we want to use materials that you feel confident in, and we’re here to guide you toward the ideal choices. 

 A: While we appreciate your enthusiasm, our workflow is optimized for precision and efficiency. Client involvement may unintentionally compromise the final result. 

 A: Square footage is a starting point, but accurate pricing depends on surface conditions, prep requirements, finishes, and design goals. A detailed walkthrough ensures a precise and fair estimate. 

 A: Smaller spaces can demand more time because they're often more segmented and detail-heavy. This is especially true in heritage homes, luxury interiors, or any space with multiple colours, trim profiles, or ornate, decorative finishes like scrollwork and crown moulding. These elements require precision, protection, and craftsmanship—not speed. It's why square footage pricing often fails to capture the true scope. The devil is in the details—and that’s where we excel. 

 A: No. We use our own professional-grade tools, ladders, and drop cloths to ensure safety, consistency, and quality on every project. 

 A: Yes. We perform soft washing on exterior surfaces as part of our prep process to promote optimal adhesion and durability. 

 A: Absolutely. Whether the project is large or small, we often implement a phased schedule to manage timelines and budgets effectively. This structured approach also ensures a high-quality finish at every stage, with focused attention on detail and performance throughout the process. 

 A: Yes. We offer custom colour matching services and can replicate designer palettes from major brands such as Benjamin Moore, Dulux, Cloverdale, Sherwin-Williams, and more. Matt uses the Nix Mini 2 colour match device, a professional-grade tool that eliminates guesswork and speeds up the colour matching process on the fly. 

 A: At Matt Kroppmanns Painting, we operate on a flawless, system designed to eliminate the need for touch-ups or post-project deficiencies. we will utilize the best approach for each scenario—initial application followed by a meticulous review—ensures every surface meets our exacting standards. We also welcome collaborative discussions with builders and clients to proactively address potential issues, maximizing quality from the outset. 

 A: We take jobsite protection seriously. Depending on the scenario, we use a tailored combination of clean drop cloths, white sheets, plastic sheeting, paper, and professional-grade coverings such as 3M plastic masking film, and floor shell. Furniture is carefully draped or relocated as needed to ensure surfaces remain spotless and undisturbed throughout the project.  Every space is unique and deserves the proper attention to detail! -  protection is never an afterthought. 

 A: Absolutely. We leave your space tidy at the end of each day. Tools and supplies are organized and any debris is removed to maintain a clean, respectful environment throughout the project.
